A Handful Of Beneficial Facial Exercises To Try Now!

You’ve probably heard before that exercises for the face don’t work and that practicing them will create (more) wrinkles making the face look older. To be honest, people are free to think what they want, but I know for experience that facial exercises work for me and for many others around the world.

We exercise our bodies to get rid of fat and ultimately lose weight and we can also stretch and tone the body muscles to give us a more defined body. But I don’t think many people are aware that the muscles of the face can also be worked and toned to obtain well defined facial features. Take it from someone who’s lost over 26 kgs. 😉

                           ————————–

Firstly, let me tell you why even should you bother with these exercises.

Benefits of facial exercises:

By exercising the facial muscles you will be able to sculpt your face and get rid of unwanted fat and wrinkles at the same time. With facial exercises you can isolate muscles groups and work different facial areas including the eyes, cheeks, chin, forehead, jaw, nose, neck as well as the lips.

The main benefits of practicing facial exercise for the face and neck include:

1- Boosting blood circulation.

2- Oxygenating the skin and restoring glow.

3- Reducing face and neck wrinkles.

4- Tightening the skin.

5- Reducing or eliminating a double chin, eye bags and crow’s feet.

                        ————————–

Of course there are tens and hundreds of exercises for you to do but I’m only going to mention those I personally did and benefitted from. But before I dive into that stuff, it’s worth mentioning that it takes dedication and consistency to achieve this. It probably won’t take more than 10 minutes out of your 24-HR day, so not having enough time is barely an excuse.

  • Kiss The Sky:

⇒ Tilt your head back and look up toward the ceiling.

⇒ Stretch the throat.

⇒ Pucker up your lips as though to kiss the ceiling.

⇒ Hold the pose for 10 seconds. Then relax. Repeat this 5 times.

By tilting your head back as you look up you’ll feel your neck stretching and that is exactly where it’s going to affect, reducing the double chin.

  • Pucker Up Your Lips:

⇒ Suck your cheeks in and pucker your lips.

⇒ Hold it for 30 seconds.

⇒ Release and breathe out. Repeat it 5 times.

Tired of your fat cheeks? Make this exercise a routine!

  • The Giraffe/ Neck Lift:

⇒ Looking straight ahead, place the fingers at the bottom of the neck and lightly stroke the skin downwards with the head tilted back.

⇒ Bring the head back down to the chest and repeat 5 times more.

⇒ Finally, jut the lower lip out as far as possible to pull the corners of the mouth and place fingers on the collarbone with the chin pointed upward.

As the name suggest “Giraffe”. Not only will it help to reduce the double chin but also stretch and work your muscles. Once you begin to lose the fat on your neck, that’s where the “giraffe” part comes into play. Do it to believe it!

  • The Mandibular Strengthening Exercise:

⇒ Keep your mouth, especially your teeth and lips closed. Then separate your teeth as much as you can without opening your lips.

⇒ Bring your jawbone forward slowly. Go as far as you can, stretching your lower lip upward. hold for 50 seconds.

⇒ Slowly return your jaw, lips, then teeth to their original position.

This exercise works your mandible, the lower jaw, and important part smiling, talking, chewing, as well as anything else your mouth does. An excellent exercise to get rid of/prevent double chin.

  • The “OO-EE” Mouth:

⇒ Open your mouth, then purse your lips together so your teeth are separated and not showing.

⇒ Make the sound “OO”, using an exaggerated movement to purse your lips together.

⇒ Change the sound to “EE” again using exaggerated motion to stretch your lips into the proper shape. Do 10-15 reps between OO and EE.

Moving your mouth to some basic sounds can help target your lips, as well as the muscles between your upper lip and nose.

  • Neck Round Move:

As the name suggests, all you have to do is move your neck round at the slowest pace possible, make a big circle. Do it counter-clockwise twice, and then twice anti-clockwise. Make sure your body is warmed up then, also make sure to be as delicate as you possibly can whilst doing the rounds. You don’t want to mess with a muscle there.

                         ————————–

With effective facial toning exercises you will see the results sooner when compared to the body because the muscles in the facial area happen to be smaller and as a result react faster to exercise. Some parts of the face will improve sooner than others, for instance a double chin is easier to eliminate if you are constant, but for the cheeks and eye areas you will need to give it more time.

                            ——————————

Through my experience throughout the transformation I was able to come up this to help those still in the process, hoping it’ll benefit you as much as it did me; only difference being, I had to figure it all out myself. 🙂

Feel free to let me know if you’ve any further questions regarding the very subject. Also, don’t forget to share it with those who could do with some useful tips.
